Teams Who Need Philipp Max In Their Side

Philipp Max has really announced himself on the Bundesliga stage this season. Maybe he has outgrown FC Augsburg this season and the is a lot of hype around him right now. So here are a few sides who Philipp Max could join this summer.

Borussia Mönchengladbach

Dieter Hecking has traditionally played a 4-2-4 consistently this season using Oscar Wendt as the first choice left back. Now although Wendt hasn’t been hugely bad or anything but at 32 years old. He will be looking to retire in the coming years. Personally, I think that Mönchengladbach should be looking to replace him sooner rather than later. Would Philipp Max be the player to take Gladbach to the next level? Fans will have been disappointed that they are currently 9th in the table ahead of the final day of the season.

Borussia Dortmund

Marcel Schmelzer just hasn’t been good enough for Borussia Dortmund this season and it’s probably time that the recruitment team at Dortmund had a bit of change around. Although Schmelzer has been a very good and loyal servant to BVB over the years. With such an in form left back tearing up the Bundesliga right now, wouldn’t Dortmund be silly not to try and take him to Signal Iduna Park? Playing for one of Germany’s elite will definitely be a great step up for Philipp Max.

Although Everton may not be in the Bundesliga, Everton is definitely a side that could use Philipp Max’s service to try and push them back towards the European spots in the Premier League. Leighton Baines is now 33 years of age and Everton should definitely be looking to replace the veteran. Whilst Baines still remains a huge part of the side and the dressing room. But Everton do lack a lot of creativity and as we have seen with Max’s performances season with Augsburg that he has been assisting for fun.
